How Do I Access The Forum
Background
Many of our members only use the TVAUG Support Forum by sending an email to it if they have a problem and then viewing the various email replies they receive in response to it. They may also view emails and replies regarding issues that other members posted to the forum. This is particularly true for those who previously were members of our Google Group forum before we migrated to the Groups.io platform. That was basically the only option available back then. Our new forum offers so many more features — IF you access it via its website.
Forum Website
To access our forum via the web go to https://groups.io/login and then click on the Log In link at the upper right.
Setup a Password
The login screen will look like the screenshot below the first time you go there because you have not created a forum password yet. Fill in your email address and click on the “Forgot your password, or don’t have one yet?” link.
After requesting a password link, you will see this green message:
You’ll receive an email from groups.io in a few seconds with your name and a link to login.
Create Your Password
When you click on the link, it takes you to the TVAUG Forum. You’re actually logged in now! But you don’t want to have to go through this routine every time, of course. So let’s set up a password for your account. Just click on your name in the upper right corner and select Account from the dropdown box…
Set it — Don’t Forget it!
Make sure your email is displayed correctly (not auto-filled by your browser or from some other password program), fill in the Password you want to use, and then click the Change Password button.
Logging in with Your Password
You’re all set! Now when you go to the forum website just click on Log In and enter your credentials:
NOTE: Save your credentials in Keychain or a password manager like LastPass or 1Password — it’s even faster!
Check out all the additional features you get by using the website in the Forum Features Overview FAQ here.
