MEETINGS
TVAUG typically has meetings on the first 3 Tuesdays every month — except over the summer when we don’t have enough resources for In-Person meetings and only hold meetings via Zoom.
On the 1st Tuesday evening at 6:30pm of each month we have a Members-Only in-person Help Session in the card room at the Saddlebrook Rec Center. These in-person Help sessions depend on the number of volunteers we can get as helpers. We are VERY short-handed in that department. Please let us know if you can lend a hand. If not enough helpers are available for a particular month, we may only have this meeting via Zoom.
On the 2nd Tuesday afternoon of the month we have an online Presentation via Zoom at 1:30 as described below. These Zoom meetings typically last about an hour and are followed by an open Q&A session where we address any questions about Apple products. Details about logging into the meetings are emailed to members via our Newsletter and are posted in our Forum on its calendar.
On the 3rd Tuesday evening of each month we have a Members-Only in-person meeting in the Mulberry Grove room at the Rohan Rec Center from 6:30-8:00 PM as described below. The format of these meetings varies – it typically details a Q&A Help section along with a SIG discussion, or even an informal presentation. Like the 1st Tuesday of the month In-Person Help sessions, whether or not we have these meetings depends on the number of helpers available.
NOTE: The Zoom Presentation meetings are usually recorded and can be accessed on our members-only Presentations page a couple of days later. We DO NOT record our in-person meetings at the Saddlebrook and Rohan Rec Centers.

DATE: January 7th | |
FORMAT: Members help each other with issues on their Apple devices. If you have a problem with your device, you can join us and your fellow members who will work with you to look for a solution. There are a few things to be aware of if you plan on attending so please read these carefully: First and foremost --KNOW YOUR PASSWORDS!! In addition to the passwords to get into your device and any applications you are having a problem with, you need to know your Villages ID# and password to get on thevillages.net WiFi network. Your ID# is on the front of your Villages ID card. You may want to drop in any Rec Center ahead of time to make sure you can login to The Villages WiFi network with your ID/PW. NOTE: We typically do not have time to help you find/reset your passwords. If you don't know them, please reset them them BEFORE coming in or else we will not be able to help. Our HELP sessions are ONLY for members with active memberships. Please login to the TVAUG.ORG website and double-check your renewal date and renew on-line if necessary. The Villages WiFi is not encrypted so we cannot take new memberships or renewals in Rec Centers. RENEW ON-LINE BEFORE THE MEETING! Please Join or Renew here if necessary prior to coming. We DO NOT take new memberships or renewals in-person. It is all done online now! Please check your renewal date — it’s under your My Account Info here. |
|
NOTE: Please do not come expecting dedicated 1-on-1 help for the whole session. We typically only spend a max of 10-15 minutes with each member so that we can accommodate as many as possible. Be considerate of your fellow members. Remember, this is a Help session - not a training session. If you have a problem that will take more than those 10-15 minutes, we will refer you to our 24x7 groups.io support forum, in-person meetings like AUDI, MUD, and the TV iPad Club listed below or in-home support. We are in dire need of Helpers for these In-Person sessions. Please use the Contact Us form here if you can help. Sorry but if we do not have enough helpers, the meeting will be canceled. |
